Phenix Jackets 2009 Collection

CABINET

About viewing this picture has not asked, "what is this thing?"
I wonder also that I have done and I have yet to give a precise answer.
However, the idea was to make a piece of furniture to put in the kitchen, a mini-pantry, which had a width of 120 cm, in which there could be several things and could also serve as a foothold . I played a bit with the square intersect each other as needed and leaving exposed only the bottom shelves. The upper hand is composed of four compartments closed by four hinged lids. Regarding the aspect
made, the cabinet is made in axes, obtained from stumps of fir glulam beams, 3 cm thick, joined by wooden dowels and glue.

The smallest square you can see, I can safely say that is useless from a functional standpoint, but from the formal point of view instead is at the heart of the cabinet, as well as the starting point of assembly and has a strong symbolic value. To avoid
it was too static I added 4 small wheels at the base so as to give more flexibility to use.
The result is this piece of furniture shaped "anomaly" that lends itself to be used for various functions. To So I decided to give this vague name that fits well with its features.
So I can say that the answer to the above question is simply, "is a piece of furniture!"
